Overall Purpose:
SolutionSet is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Systems Administrator who can demonstrate proof of his/her knowledge. Responsibilities will include the day to day administration, upkeep, development, and deployment of internal and external client systems in a heterogeneous computing environment. You will be working hand in hand with talented individuals on significant projects every day. This is a full-time position on-site. Salary is commensurate with demonstrable experience. Qualifications:
These base technical requirements are non-negotiable; you must posess them and your skills must be up to date. You will be tested on your knowledge.
- 3-5 years of professional Linux/Solaris administration skills (Debian, RHEL, CentOS)
- Some experience with Windows Server 2003 a big plus
- Solid understanding of current web and internet technologies
- Clear understanding of networking technologies (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, etc)
- Working knowledge of mySQL and relational database technology
- Knowledge of load balancing and high availability planning
- LAMP/.NET environment build and configuration experience
- Storage administration (NAS / SAN)
- Monitoring services and on-call experience
- Experience working for a creative agency or consulting company a plus
- Experience with any programming in any language and server-side scripting a big plus
