The Challenge
Spark's membership base was expanding rapidly, so to better engage their growing audience, the organization needed a more user-friendly website. Not only was the existing site architecture convoluted, the website was also far too content heavy. Potential and new Spark members struggled to understand the organization's mission, services, and how they could get involved.
The website also proved problematic from a maintenance standpoint—only volunteers who understood HTML could make updates to the site.
The Solution
After reviewing Spark's existing website and content management tool, SolutionSet developed a new user interface for the site that offers easy, intuitive navigation and a web-based CMS. The new CMS solution enables tailoring of dynamic content and straightforward web maintenance.
The Result
Now that volunteers can perform web maintenance activities, Spark is reducing administrative costs and increasing program efficiency. Members, recruits, and global partners can easily learn more about Spark and become more engaged in the organization due to the enhanced functionality of the site.
