Since its founding in 1977, POST has been responsible for saving 60,000 acres as permanent open space in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. The GoMindego project was the organization's first concentrated online marketing effort for a campaign, and they wanted to appeal to a broader audience.
The Solution
SolutionSet began with a bigger, bolder design to appeal to the demographic who reads outdoors magazines and shops at REI. We created a showcase Flash animation with custom illustrations and birdsong audio, showcased images of past donors to give contributors a face, created a grass "thermometer" to measure campaign contributions progress, and developed a Flash timeline and photo gallery to help guests of the site better familiarize themselves with Mindego Hill's past, present, and future
The Result
The end result: a great-looking site, with great personality, for a great cause. Donations also increased 161% compared to the previous year.
