EFI (Electronics For Imaging, Inc.) is the market leader in printing technology. The company provides products, services and support to handle all businesses' printing needs.
The Challenge
EFI needed a compelling creative design, as well as the technology to create a complex permissions-based system. This system would dynamically update for each user and deliver documentation, events, news, and promotions based on that user's permissions. EFI also needed an external portal platform to channel specific information to each partner user group and sub-group, maintain control of how content is published, offer the flexibility of a distributed content workflow for admins, and offer multi-language support for users across the globe. No small challenge.
The Solution
From a creative-design perspective, SolutionSet extended EFI design standards to come up with the new look for EFI's Partner Portal platform. For the CMS, Ektron's .NET framework-based CMS was chosen, which SolutionSet custom coded to meet the requirements for EFI's new platform. The EFI Partner Portal platform utilized sIFR to allow content editors to change content in real time and still utilize the EFI corporate font, and a custom built, easy-to-use admin interface based on Ektron's CMS400 distributed content flow.
The Result
The end result was an elegant, new platform which speaks to its global sales audience that EFI can publish information with and build upon for years to come.
