On a short timeline, Autodesk needed a microsite built to act as a landing page and survey for a massive international email marketing campaign. The site needed to support high traffic volume and translation into English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese. From a user experience and marketing perspective, an additional challenge was to engage users and inspire them to complete the survey.
The Solution
SolutionSet designed forms and wrote the messaging to keep the user focused on completing the desired action. We selected the symfony framework as the basis for the site because of its proven internationalization features and performance under heavy load. Symfony's code generation utilities and form framework enabled rapid application development. Google Analytics and Campaign Monitor were leveraged and customized to provide metrics.
The Result
Autodesk's tight deadline was met and the email campaign enjoyed record click-through rates and conversions. A custom-written API imported the results data into Autodesk's proprietary asset management system.
