With an international user base, Autodesk wanted to create a new common space where its staff and clientele could share common ideas and form an online community. With a multitude of different types of content, Autodesk would need a CMS, file repository, blog manager, and of course, scalable membership management.
The Solution
Using a strong visual as a basis, SolutionSet laid out the homepage with information priority in mind: what, who, how, where. Yet, the space is well distributed and condensed properly. Navigation is extracted from visual elements and slightly divided in order to limit the number of unnecessary clicks.
The Result
After determining Autodesk's content and community objectives, SolutionSet set out to define, design, develop, and ultimately deploy in record time. Our overall approach enabled the client to concentrate on its content: blogs, articles, tips, tutorials, downloads, links, events. Newsletter and RSS feeds have also been implemented. All these services are within a community framework where members can create groups, send each other messages, comment on content, submit content, and create their own portfolio.
